When you come on the topic of the website hosting then you would be stuck into a shared IP address and Dedicated IP address. The questions are arisen in your mind that do I really need a dedicated IP address or can I run my business with a shared IP? Do I really need one at all?
First we need to have bit information about the shared IP and dedicated IP. What are their differences and benefits over our business values.
First we start with, what is an IP address?
The IP (Internet Protocol) is the four digits number which is assigned to every device that accesses the internet. It is unique address that allows the Internet, websites to identify your specific device. It’s a unique string of numbers separated by periods. It is mainly divided into four parts and is shown you in this pattern –168.158.252.50.
Shared IP
A shared IP is a IP address used for many websites. All sites use only one IP address over the internet. All of a server’s resources are pooled together to host many sites without regard for who owns the site. Because of one IP address with the many users, the actions of one site owner can affect everyone on the server. For example, if an IP address is blacklisted for spamming this will blacklist mail for all sites using the shared IP address.
Dedicated IP
A dedicated IP is one IP address for on website or user. Having Dedicated IP address means that the website has its very own address and you can use whether this IP address or domain name of your website to access it from the Web.  In Dedicated IP you can use all the space and resource of the server. You need not to worry about any other IP block or any other issue. A dedicated IP address is exclusively yours. You might choose to serve different sites from that IP address, but you’re ultimately in control of who’s using it.
